Subliminal Messaging in todays Music?

So lately alot of heavy hitting musician have been releasing some very interesting music videos, which most of the time tell little or no story about the song its suppose to represent. The topic at hand is the dark nature of these videos strang symbolism's, mannerisms and almost demonic fashion statement overflow in these videos
the most recent subject would be pop singer Rihanna in her new video "Rockstar 101" where she can immediacy can be seen squirming and gyrating in a spiky headband, black flesh tone body paint and warped in chains the scene later changes to her doing her best "rockstar" impression but later on things get even more dark as she is seen inside what appears to be a mock pentagram horn tusk hat

Its very striking cause neither of this seems to deliver the message of the song, exactly what kind of message is she trying to get across anyways?

But Rihanna isnt the only one with the dark seeming pointless overtones in their videos/performances Lady GaGa, Beyonce Jay-Z have come under fire for it aswell. In GaGas Paparazzi music video it shows dead men and woman. While performing the song live last year at the VMAs she was seemingly stabbed and hung on stage with what was suppose to be a metaphor of "Fame Kills", didn't make any sense to me. She later followed the trend in her Telephone music video featuring Beyonce where her and Beyonce poison and kill a cafe full of men and woman and then flee town the subject of the video has little or nothing todo with the meaning/lyrics of the song.

Two Weeks ago she performed her new song Alejandro on American Idol this was the opening shot

By the end performance the angel was covered in red lights and on fire

And at the end a "seemingly" dying lady gaga lay under the now bloody bleeding angel

Just a few days ago Beyonce released a alternate video of her hit "Halo"

Obviously significantly more darker in visual and concept than the original. Beyonce has also been ridiculed recently for wearing what some have suggest was a satanic devil ring while performing at one of her husbands concerts; her husband Jay-Z who calls himself Hova considers himself the god of rap music thus "hova" which is taken from the word "Jehovah" which is another word for god.

During her 2010 performance of If I Were A Boy she was accompanied by a couple dozen men in SWAT like outfits who did virtually nothing the entire time

while many were confused and discarded it entirely some accused her of Police State propaganda

Most recently Christina has come under the light of her more darker sexier image
